embark on the perfect roadtrip.

Roadtrip to Recovery offers a two-three day solo retreat or trip to allow Black women to rest and recharge. Whether this is in a hotel, cabin, or home rental, the experience will provide an opportunity to escape current day-to-day stress.

We understand the importance of connecting Black women with Black providers and creating a safe space where we feel understood and heard. Therefore, in light of COVID-19, recipients will also receive a personal virtual package matching them with a Black Registered Dietitian, Mental Health Therapist, and Certified Personal Trainer. The package includes: five (5) virtual nutrition sessions, five (5) mental health therapy sessions, and five (5) virtual personal training sessions.

While this is mean’t to be a solo experience, we also understand the important role that caregivers play. Each recipient may choose to travel solo or bring one (1) caregiver. We won’t define caregiver, as we know this ranges from family and friends to co-workers and neighbors (and so on). Please note, the virtual package will be given only to the recipient and not the accompanying caregiver.

“The trip was so special for my mother and me…

as we had never gone on a mother-daughter trip and it gave us an opportunity to reconnect and relax. The experience gave us an opportunity to slow down and we were able to not only reflect on the fact that we had survived cancer but focus on thriving after the diagnosis.”

“This experience was HEALTHCARE…

It was the perfect stay with my caregiver, who happens to be my loving husband. I would go through endless appointments filled with blood draws, injections, scans, and medications, as well as, managing mental anguish and financial hardships due to a stage 4 metastatic breast cancer diagnosis. We were able to rest, relax, restore, eat, explore and rekindle. We returned home with healing energy as our souls were recharged!”
