LEADERSHIP RETREAT

The Leadership Retreat aims to bring Black women leaders together to strategize on new ways to serve the Black women Breast Cancer Community. The retreat will provide a safe space for Black women leaders to collaborate, share existing ideas, seek advice and plan together. The retreat will be followed by a post 6-month check-in program to help implement at least one project or initiative created by the group. 

We are ideally looking for Six (6) Black women who hold leadership positions in Breast Cancer organizations and have a substantial impact on bettering the Black Breast Cancer Community. You all have lived through it and know what YOU need. How can we come together using our networks and resources to have the greatest impact? At the same time, you cannot pour from an empty cup.  You must rest and nurture your own soul, and we can’t wait to provide you with that opportunity!

Inaugural Leadership Retreat in Belize 2021.


Application Eligibility:

  • Must have a valid passport with at least 6 months validity before the expiration date.

  • Must be able to attend a retreat for the full period, no exceptions.

  • Must be a Black woman currently residing in the United States and/or a Black woman with US residency.

  • Must hold a leadership position in a breast cancer organization that has a significant impact on the lives of Black women with breast cancer.

  • Must have lived with breast cancer at any stage.

  • Must be willing to take a COVID test within 72 hours of departure.

  • Must be willing to participate in a 6-month monthly check-in program to implement retreat collaboration and programming.

Fight Through Flights Will Cover:

  • Round Trip flights from your home city to retreat location

  • 3-night hotel accommodation (based on double occupancy). Each participant will have their own bedroom and bathroom.  However, each unit will have two-three bedrooms shared with other retreat guests.

  • 2 Daily Meals

  • Activities and Workshops
